Sommelier: The current workshop aims to introduce students within the coordinates of literary theory made from antiquity to the tradition of Romantic aesthetics. This will proceed to the development of major literary aesthetic approaches proposed in the texts of the most representative thinkers, namely, Plato, Aristotle, Horace, Kant, Hegel, and Dilthey. Also present an overview on the main routes of the twentieth century literary theory.

Objectives:

Get a set of basic categories for the understanding of literary theory.
identify the main ideas which constitute the literary aesthetic thought.
Recognize common themes raised about literary aesthetics.
discuss the different conceptions of the literary phenomenon from the perspective of aesthetics.
reflect on various literary theoretical approaches have emerged in the twentieth century.


Program:

Week 1 Introduction. Rodeos to a conception of literature. Literary theory and literary poetry. Literary theory and literary interpretation. Theoretical understanding and hermeneutic understanding.
2 Dialogues of Plato. Creative practice from the perspective of dialogue Ion . The rhetoric under Gorgias dialogue . The exile of the artist in Republic.

3 The concept of "art that has no name" on Poetics Aristotle. 4
globalizing dimension of Aristotle's Rhetoric.

5 The docere - delectare in the poetics of Quinto Horacio Flaco.
6 The aesthetic paradigm E. Kant (1). Week IV

10 Panorama of the theoretical literature in the twentieth century.

Luis Eduardo Lino Salvador . BA in Literature from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Also, extended expertise in Peruvian and Latin American Literature in this university. He has spoken at various academic events and offers several publications in national and international magazines as Novamérica Brazil. He currently teaches at the Universidad Antonio Ruiz de Montoya and the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola.
